5th annual walk – October 5, 2013 10am

Teresa Majewski lost the battle with Breast Cancer when she was only 34. She passed away in October 1993. Her family has decided to help by having an awareness walk here in her home town of St Joseph, MO. They promised Teresa that they would do everything they could to decrease the amount of people that have to go through what she did.
In memory of Teresa Majewski, we will be Painting the Parkway Pink to raise money for Breast cancer research.
The 5th annual walk will be October 5 2013.
Spread the word, wear your pink, and bring the dog!
St Joe, get involved! Especially those who have been hit hard. It seems like everyone knows someone who has had the brush with breast cancer, whether it was a mother, a sister, aunt, grandmother, neighbor or YOU!
We encourage everyone to come out and join us on Saturday October 5th, 2013 for our 5th annual Paint the Parkway Pink Breast Cancer Awareness walk. The bus will start pick up at Hyde Park at 7:30am and drop off at the REC Center. Check in will begin at 8am at the REC Center. If you register prior to Sept 10 you will go to the “Pre-Registered” tent. If you registered after Sept 10 you will look for the “Late Registration” tent. We will cut the ribbon at 10am to begin the walk. There will be refreshments and music after the walk. If you would like our free t-shirt, we need you to be registered by Sept 10th with a $25 minimum donation. We cannot guarantee you a free t-shirt if you wait to register the day of the walk.
2009: 926 registrants and a $15,000 donation to Susan G Komen KC!
2010: 572 registrants and a $15,000 donation to Susan G Komen KC!
2011: 368 registrants and a $18,000 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!
2012: 1,023 registrants and a $20,000 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!
2013: Goal of 1000 registrants and a $22,500 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!
